【摘要】:Thistestmethoddescribesalaboratoryprocedurefortheexposureofprintingandwritingpapertocommonatmosphericpollutantgasatelevatedlevelsofconcentrationtopermitacceleratedagingofsuchpaper.Thistestmethodspecifiesthesamplepreparationandconditionsofexposurerequiredtoobtaininformationontherelativestabilityofpaperwithregardtochangeinmechanicalstrengthandopticalpropertiesbroughtaboutbyexposureofsuchpapertocommonatmosphericpollutantgas.Thistestmethodprovidesqualitativeresultsregardingpaperstabilityanddoesnotdefinetheexactlifeexpectancyforagivenpapertoreachaspecifiedsetofstrengthoropticalproperties.Thelimit(s)ofacceptabilityforaspecifiedsetofpropertiesmustbedefinedbyeachenduserandwilldeterminethelifeexpectancyofthepapertobetested.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
