【摘要】:Theforcereductionpropertyisjustoneoftheimportantpropertiesofasurfaceusedforathleticactivity.Itmaybeanindicatoroftheperformance,safety,comfort,orsuitabilityofthesurface.Manufacturersofathleticsurfacesmayusethistestmethodtoevaluatetheeffectsofdesignchangesontheimpactforcesgeneratedonthesurface.Facilityownersmayusethisstandardtoevaluatetheperformanceofexistingsport/athleticsurfaces.Resultsmaybeusefulduringtheselectionprocessforareplacementsurface,orforanadditionalathleticsurfacebeingaddedtothefacility.Facilityownersmayalsousethistestmethodtoverifythatnewlyinstalledsurfacesperformatornearthelevelsincludedinprojectspecifications.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthequantitativemeasurementandnormalizationofimpactforcesgeneratedthroughamechanicalimpacttestonanathleticsurface.Theimpactforcessimulatedinthistestmethodareintendedtorepresentthoseproducedbylowerextremitiesofanathleteduringlandingeventsonsportorathleticsurfaces.1.2Thistestmethodmaybeappliedtoanysurfacewhereathleticactivitymaybeconducted.1.3Thetestmethodsdescribedareapplicableinbothlaboratoryandfieldsettings.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
